The realization of how much I've seen of the "real" San Diego still amazes; a small taste of both worlds. The conversation just came up this morning at work which is why I am quickly jotting my thoughts. I've pondered this before.
How many can say they've watched pitbull fights across the street from their homes and simultaneously gone to school with girls who keep toy poodles in their LVs? Or how about being caught in a drive-by shooting as well as caught in a drive by egging of their 40 acre Mansion high school campus? I've seen girls fight with their boyfriends in their BMWs and women fight with their husbands all the while getting face slammed into a hooptie. Not to mention $4000 rhinoplasty at age 16 versus $40/lay beginning at age 16.
A bittersweet contradiction indeed.
